They w ill speak from their hearts, and the roles they currently hold, to share th e successes and the challenges in their work as it relates to equitable lea rning opportunities for students. They will also help us think about what i t means to "do justice" as part of discipleship. How can we be "healers of injustice"?
The last few years J&RR has focused on l earning and equipping with a variety of tools, speakers, books, small group s, and films. We are intentionally moving from a learning mode to a doing m ode. We invite you to come learn about equity in our schools and opportunit ies to support teachers and students if this touches your heart. In this training, we'll learn about our rights as residents of this country and how to exercise them during imm igration enforcement activities; we'll learn how to be effective bystanders and allies in a way that honors Jesus; and we'll learn about ways to get i nvolved more tangibly in accompaniment and rapid response programs in our c ommunity.
